Yacht charters along the Algarve — what to expect.

Departures from Vilamoura, Albufeira, Faro, Portimão and Lagos. Benagil, the Marinha arch, and the limestone caves — to the south.

1. Where in the Algarve can we charter from?

   Marina de Vilamoura is our home base — the most polished marina in the region and the gateway to the eastern cave coast. We also operate from Albufeira, Portimão and Lagos depending on the boat and the day.
2. Do I need a skipper licence?

   No. Every Algarve charter is fully crewed with a licensed captain.
3. How do we get to the Benagil sea cave?

   Benagil is best reached from Portimão or Albufeira (60 to 90 minutes by motor yacht). From Vilamoura it is roughly a half-day round trip. You cannot enter the cave on a yacht — we anchor outside, then a tender or SUP takes you into the dome. Arrive before 10:00 to avoid the tour-boat crowd.
4. What does a typical Algarve day look like?

   Late breakfast on board leaving Vilamoura, a morning run west to the Marinha arch and the Carvoeiro coves, anchor at Praia da Marinha or Benagil for lunch and a swim, then a slow return with the sun on the cliffs.
5. What is included?

   Captain, fuel for the published route, soft drinks, water, snorkel and paddle-board kit on most boats, and full insurance. Premium catering, hostess service and a Williams tender are available on the larger Sunseekers.
6. How many guests can come?

   The Algarve fleet ranges from a Sunseeker Portofino 46 for ten guests up to a 25-metre wide-body for eighteen, with the Predator 72 sitting in the middle.
7. When is the best season?

   May to mid-October. June, September and early October give you 22 to 24 °C water with quieter docks. July and August are warmest and busiest — book three weeks ahead in high season.
8. Will we see dolphins or marine life?

   Bottlenose dolphins are seen regularly off the southern coast in summer, usually in the open water between Albufeira and Lagos. Encounters are common but not guaranteed.
9. What if the weather is poor?

   We monitor the forecast 48 hours out. The Algarve south coast is generally sheltered from north-westerlies; if conditions are genuinely unsafe or unpleasant, we reschedule at no cost.
10. Can we do a corporate or birthday event on board?

    Yes — the Predator 72 and the wide-body 82 carry up to 18 guests for private events. We can coordinate catering, a DJ and a tender shuttle from the marina.
11. How quickly will you reply?

    Bruno typically replies on WhatsApp within an hour during Lisbon hours.
